Leopoldo Escobar is the founder of Escobar Legal P.A. and a tax attorney with more than twenty years of experience. He focuses his practice on international tax and estate planning, advising individual and corporate clients on how to organize and reorganize their inbound and outbound investments, with particular emphasis on the Latin American market.
Prior to founding the firm, he was a partner and head of the tax and estate planning department of a Miami-based law firm (2018–2023). He previously worked in the International Services Group of the Houston office of a leading “big four” accounting firm, and before practicing law in the United States he was a local partner (2010–2017) in the Venezuelan office of a top multinational law firm.
His experience includes providing strategic and practical tax solutions and consulting advice to families and corporate clients across a wide range of industries — from pre-immigration and inbound structuring, international information reporting, trusts and asset protection, to the corporate and real estate transactions that carry those plans out.
Clients turn to him for judgment as much as technique: a clear reading of the alternatives, the risk each one carries, and the one he would choose. He works fluently in English and Spanish.

María Leticia Perera is an attorney with more than twenty-five years of experience who concentrates her practice on taxation and international tax and wealth planning, with a parallel track in corporate law.
